In the summer of 2023, I had the joy of being able to study abroad in Florence, Italy. At Santa Reparata International School of Arts, I learned a lot of Italian Renaissance Painting techniques. We made our own tempura paint, learned how to apply the intonaco to then paint with fresco, and learned how to guild with gold leaf.
